Enhancing Information Literacy
The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award aims to encourage students to utilize their creativity and computational thinking alongside knowledge in information and communication technology to propose solutions that contribute to social development. This year, the award features five themes: enhancing learning, promoting wellness, cultivating nationalism, enhancing information literacy, and solving social issues. EdCity will gradually introduce the details of each theme.

The second Domain Talk has been completed
Domain Talk – Enhancing Learning of Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award concluded with great success on May 24, 2025. Mr. Wong Kin-wai, the Chairman of the IT Education Leaders Association is the speaker. The speaker’s insightful sharing proved highly beneficial to the participants, injecting inspiration and motivation into the competition.

Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award – Online Briefing Session & Domain Talk Successfully Concluded
The online briefing session and first domain talk for the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award was successfully held on 9 May 2025, attracting a remarkable number of enthusiastic students and educators. We were honoured to have Dr. Li Chiu Fai, Council Member of the HKACE, share insights on enhancing information literacy with our audience. The talk helped student participants prepare their projects in a more comprehensive and accurate manner. Additionally, the online briefing provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the competition and judging criteria.

Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award – April Briefing Sessions Successfully Concluded
The online briefing sessions for the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award were successfully held on April 8 and 15, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and educators. Notably, a physical briefing session was also conducted at the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (Tuen Mun Campus), fostering direct interaction and deeper engagement with attendees.

Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025: Student Innovation Award organised by the Hong Kong Education City (EdCity), will kick off this April. The aim is to provide students with a culture and environment that fosters innovative thinking, allowing them to unleash their creativity and apply computational thinking. Participating teams can choose from five themes (including: enhancing learning, promoting wellness, cultivating nationalism, enhancing information literacy, and solving social issues) to propose effective and constructive solutions that contribute to the development of Hong Kong society.
