Objectives
- To use animation for subject learning—Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Coding
- To support students to learn subject knowledge and develop their self-regulated learning and computational thinking capabilities
Project Overview
This QEF project aims to use animation, coding, cognitive tool as pedagogies in primary school curriculum.
• Mathematics subject + Coding: Uses cognitive tools and Scratch app to make learning Maths concepts (Prime and Composite numbers) interesting.
• Chinese Language + Coding: Utilizes animations and Scratch programming to teach descriptive writing of scenery.
• Chinese Language + Generative AI: Provides AI tools to optimize essay structure and word refinement, and improve chinese writing skills.
• English Language + Coding: Uses Scratch mini-games to learn vocabulary related to location and direction, and prepositional phrases.
• English Language + Generative AI: Helps students understand maps, plan routes, provide directions, provide suggestions, use GPT for feedback, and produce revised versions.
