Objectives

  • To use animation for subject learning—Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Coding
  • To support students to learn subject knowledge and develop their self-regulated learning and computational thinking capabilities

Project Overview

This QEF project aims to use animation, coding, cognitive tool and AI Chatbot as pedagogies in primary school curriculum.

• Chinese Language + EdUHK AI Chatbot: Utilizes Scratch animations and AI chatbot to learn rhetorical techniques, enhance essay structure, and improve the descriptive writing of scenery in the Chinese language.
• Chinese Language + Coding: Uses Scratch animations and programming to learn rhetorical techniques, enhance essay structure, and improve the descriptive writing of scenery in the Chinese language.


• English Language + EdUHK AI Chatbot: Utilizes Scratch games and AI Chatbot to learn how to compose short paragraphs using prepositions and prepositional phrases to describe locations and give directions to destinations.
• English Language + Coding: Uses Scratch games and programming to learn how to use prepositions and prepositional phrases to describe locations and give directions to destinations.


• Mathematics + EdUHK AI Chatbot: Utilizes an AI chatbot to understand how to represent Mathematical word problems before solving them.
• Mathematics + Coding: Explore and understand prime and composite numbers through Factor App exploration and together with Scratch programming.
