Background
The platform introduced in this event is one of the project deliverables under the e-Learning Ancillary Facilities Programme (eLAFP) funded by the Quality Education Fund (QEF).
Objective(s)
1. To introduce the 90 VR modules developed as part of the “Enhancing Literacy Education with Artificial Reality Neo-platform (eLEARN) 2.0” Project.
2. To familiarise educators with the use of VR technology in educational settings.
3. To provide opportunities for hands-on trial use of the VR modules.
4. To share the design principles and teaching strategies behind the VR modules, along with insights gained from their trial implementation.
5. To empower teachers to develop effective VR-based lessons.
Programme Description
1. Overview of the contents, features and deliverables of the “Enhancing Literacy Education with Artificial Reality Neo-platform (eLEARN) 2.0” Project.
2. Topic Sharing 1: Insights from co-design and pilot lessons utilising VR technology for primary Chinese language education.
3. Topic Sharing 2: Insights from co-design and pilot lessons utilising VR technology for primary English language education and General Studies (Humanities Subject / Science Subject).
4. Hands-on trial use of the VR modules from Topic Sharing 1 & 2.
5. Interactive Q&A session.
