The programme invites students to start with a real need they observe in everyday life, at school or in the community, and develop a practical, technology-enabled idea with the potential to create positive change.<\/p>\n<p>Under this year\u2019s theme, \u201cSee the Need. Prompt the Future.\u201d, students are encouraged to explore how AI and other technologies can bring their ideas to life across three challenge themes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li>Environmental Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Sport &amp; Tech<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive Communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can participate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students from registered primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are welcome to participate.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li>Each team should comprise 2\u20135 students from the same school or institution.<\/li>\n<li>No completed prototype is required at the application stage.<\/li>\n<li>Teams only need to identify a real need and submit a concept proposal outlining their innovative solution.<\/li>\n<li>Primary and secondary teams should apply with a teacher as the main contact for registration, submissions and programme updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme journey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Selected teams will progress through a structured learning and development journey:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li>Application deadline: 13 November 2026<\/li>\n<li>Concept proposal submission: 4 December 2026<\/li>\n<li>Exclusive workshops, Project Clinics and industry guidance for prototype development: January\u2013March 2027<\/li>\n<li>Grand Finale: April 2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>36 shortlisted teams will receive support to strengthen their ideas and develop prototypes. 18 teams will showcase their developed solutions on Finale Day, with 9 finalist teams progressing to the Grand Pitch.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nWhat can students gain?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shortlisted teams will have the opportunity to develop Design Thinking, collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills through workshops and industry guidance.
