Introduction
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 is a youth innovation programme organised by Samsung Electronics Hong Kong Limited. The programme invites students to start with a real need they observe in everyday life, at school or in the community, and develop a practical, technology-enabled idea with the potential to create positive change.
Under this year’s theme, “See the Need. Prompt the Future.”, students are encouraged to explore how AI and other technologies can bring their ideas to life across three challenge themes:
- Environmental Sustainability
- Sport & Tech
- Inclusive Communities
Who can participate
Students from registered primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are welcome to participate.
- Each team should comprise 2–5 students from the same school or institution.
- No completed prototype is required at the application stage.
- Teams only need to identify a real need and submit a concept proposal outlining their innovative solution.
- Primary and secondary teams should apply with a teacher as the main contact for registration, submissions and programme updates.
Programme journey
Selected teams will progress through a structured learning and development journey:
- Application deadline: 13 November 2026
- Concept proposal submission: 4 December 2026
- Exclusive workshops, Project Clinics and industry guidance for prototype development: January–March 2027
- Grand Finale: April 2027
36 shortlisted teams will receive support to strengthen their ideas and develop prototypes. 18 teams will showcase their developed solutions on Finale Day, with 9 finalist teams progressing to the Grand Pitch.
What can students gain?
Shortlisted teams will have the opportunity to develop Design Thinking, collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills through workshops and industry guidance. Winning teams may receive cash prizes, Samsung products, internship opportunities and other awards.
